Summer Hike with Konekt

Join Konekt Calgary on our Summer Hike at Bluerock Knob Trail in Kananaskis Country! 🏔️🥾

We will meet in the parking lot at 9 AM on Sunday June 15th. Bluerock Knob Tail is a 6.8km out and back trail. The first park of the trail is hard packed and visible/apparent, while the rest is not and therefor it is recommended to have access to the offline map. Finding the best way through a forest with plenty of deadfall will prove to be a challenge best tackled with high socks. The rest of the route climbs the ridge to an open rocky slope to the summit.

The views at the end are worth the relatively minor frustration caused by having to spend extra time route-finding and zig-zagging around deadfall, and this trail is relatively short overall. There are lots of great places to stop and admire the views if you want to only stay on the initial section above the campground. The knob at the end is a fantastic place to have lunch and catch some rays. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. 🐶🐾 We recommend bringing water, snacks, and dressing appropriately for the weather. 💧🥪

A Conservation pass is required to park at provincial parks and public use lands in the Kananaskis Country and Bow Valley region. There are two options for purchasing a pass; daily pass and yearly pass. Only one pass per vehicle is required regardless of the number of passengers.
